Forests covered in fresh snow, amazing panoramic views, welcoming traditional huts and alpine pastures all offer unforgettable experiences.
WINTER HIKING
WINTER HIKING IN MARANZA
ALTFASSTAL VALLEY
This easy family winter hike leads directly from the hotel into the traditional Altfasstal Valley. You can take a break at the Großberghütte mountain hut in both winter and summer, then continue into the valley. Turn right at the bridge and return to the hotel on the forest path.

BACHERHÜTTE
From the hotel take the balance trail then take the left-hand “Möserweg” path up to the Bacherhütte hut. It is an easy walk with kids or even with a pushchair. Return on path no. 12 (Grabenkreuz, past the Pichler, Scheider and Kaufmann farms and the old mill). Take the balance trail back to the hotel.

WINTER HIKING IN VALLES
FANE ALM
This moderately difficult hike leads to South Tyrol’s loveliest alpine village, memorable for its rustic mountain huts and beautiful chapel. The wide groomed trail leads up via several bends past the gorge to the alpine village of Fane at over 1,739 metres.
